Lexipol, the leader in policy, training and wellness support for public safety and government leaders, has announced its fourth annual Connect user group conference. The free virtual event, which takes place on September 6, 2023, will provide thousands of attendees with the opportunity to connect with and learn from subject matter experts, fellow public safety professionals and Lexipol representatives.
This year’s opening keynote will be presented by actor and volunteer fire captain, Robert Burke. Known for roles in movies such as RoboCop 3, Thinner and Tombstone, and TV shows Rescue Me and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Burke joined the fire service after helping with search and rescue efforts following 9/11. His keynote, “What Is Our Why?” will address the purpose and mission of all first responders and public servants.
Under this year’s theme of “Empowering Safer Communities,” the Connect 2023 user conference will engage public safety and local government professionals in dynamic interactive sessions with key takeaways from industry experts. Sessions will focus on navigating current trends in public safety to effect safer, more professional service, and cover topics ranging from recruitment and culture to leadership and resilience. In addition to Burke, Connect speakers include Lexipol co-founder and risk management expert Gordon Graham; clinical psychologist and president of Lexipol’s wellness solutions Dr. David Black; fire service legal expert Curt Varone; and more.
“Each year, we are enhancing our user conference and continuing to address the unique needs and challenges of our customers,” said Lexipol CEO Bill Nunan. “Connect 2023 will provide agencies and their personnel access to critical insights and resources, as well as the chance to engage in productive conversations centered on improving safety, professionalism and level of service.”
Connect sessions will also provide attendees with information about how Lexipol’s products and services address today’s operational challenges, including headline-generating critical incidents, new state and federal legislation and case law, and shifting public opinion. Hosted on a state-of-the-art virtual event platform, Connect 2023 features an auditorium, exhibit hall, resources and the ability for participants to connect via chatrooms.
