JOHN BENNETT is a 26-year veteran police officer and patrol lieutenant from Charleston, Ill. A member of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA), John has spent more than 20 years training officers both nationally and internationally. His teaching focuses on officer-safety tactics, risk management, leadership, and promoting a proactive philosophy of police service, individual readiness, and professionalism.
John worked at Lexipol as a Management Services Representative, where he contributed to advancing officer safety and readiness. He has dedicated his career to awareness, education, research, and training tailored to saving officers’ lives, preserving their families, and protecting their careers. Beyond his tenure at Lexipol, John continues his mission as a trainer, consultant, subject matter expert, author, and core instructor for the nationally recognized Below 100 officer-safety initiative.
