Lexipol, the leading content, policy and training platform for public safety and local government, has been recognized for an outstanding corporate response to the coronavirus pandemic with a Silver Stevie® Award in the 17th Annual International Business Awards®.
This year, the International Business Awards received over 3,800 nominations from organizations across industries in 63 countries and territories. Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 250 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from July through early September.
Lexipol’s COVID-19 response includes the development and dissemination of free public safety-specific resources, including the Coronavirus Learning & Policy Center; coronavirus news centers on Police1, FireRescue1, EMS1, Corrections1 and Gov1; and other thought leadership initiatives such as webinars, newsletters and blogs. These resources address a variety of needs to support public safety professionals’ response to the pandemic, from COVID-19 safety protocols during emergency calls to the importance of emotional resiliency as the health crisis drags on.
The Coronavirus Learning & Policy Center has seen over 57,000 users, 70,000 sessions and 91,000 pageviews since it launched in March. Early in the pandemic, more than 3,800 attendees tuned in to the free webinar, “First Responders, Stress Management and Coronavirus,” which has since been viewed an additional 10,500 times.
Judges’ comments referenced Lexipol’s dedication to first responder physical, mental and emotional health throughout the increasingly stressful months of the pandemic, as well as Lexipol’s commitment to public safety and the communities they serve. One judge noted Lexipol’s response placed “the common good first…focusing on people rather than profit.”
