Lexipol, the leading provider of solutions that enhance performance excellence in public safety, is thrilled to announce that our Peer Support Training and Certification membership has been named a gold winner in the Best New Product Version of the Year category at the Best in Biz Awards. This prestigious recognition highlights Lexipol’s commitment to providing innovative solutions that address the unique challenges faced by first responders and public safety agencies.
The Peer Support Training and Certification membership is a groundbreaking program designed to enhance the mental, emotional and physical well-being of first responders nationwide. By leveraging national guidelines and best practices, this online program empowers peer support teams to provide proactive, reactive and post-incident care for their colleagues. The program’s unique structure allows personnel to access training 24/7, enabling agencies to support their teams without disrupting critical operations.
“This program is a testament to Lexipol’s unwavering commitment to improving the well-being of first responders,” says Dr. Jaime Brower, who leads the peer support initiative for Lexipol. “Our training equips first responders with the tools they need to build trust, provide care, and create a culture of wellness within their agencies. By addressing not just post-incident intervention, but also proactive prevention and immediate reactive response, we ensure teams are prepared to meet the diverse challenges they face every day.”
The award-winning program officially launched during First Responder Wellness Week in March 2024, following an enthusiastic response to a preview during the inaugural event in 2023. Since then, it has garnered national attention and impactful partnerships, including a $100,000 investment from Securus Technologies to bring this critical resource to correctional facilities across the United States. The program has been instrumental in equipping agencies with the skills to reduce crises, foster resilience and save lives.
“Agency wellness programs are a critical component of achieving performance excellence in public safety,” says Lexipol CEO Bill Nunan. “This program showcases how innovative training solutions can drive meaningful change for our public safety partners. At Lexipol, we are continually seeking new ways to support first responders and help them navigate the challenges they encounter daily.”
Now in its 14th year, the Best in Biz Awards received hundreds of submissions from organizations across North America. This year’s competition was especially competitive, with entries spanning public and private companies from various industries and regions in the U.S. and Canada. Participants ranged from iconic global brands to innovative start-ups and respected local businesses.
“Our training is designed to equip first responders to effectively support their colleagues, giving them the tools they need to build trust, provide care and create a culture of wellness within their agencies.”
Lexipol is deeply honored to be among the companies recognized and proud to see the Peer Support Training and Certification membership celebrated for its impactful contributions to the public safety community.
