Lexipol, the leading provider of solutions that enhance performance excellence in public safety, is honored to announce that two of its editorial projects have been named regional finalists in the 2025 American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) Azbee Awards. These prestigious awards recognize excellence in business journalism across industries, highlighting outstanding work in reporting, analysis and digital content.

This year, Lexipol Media Group’s industry news sites, EMS1 and Police1, have each earned finalist recognition in the Central Region. EMS1’s What Paramedics Want in 2024, led by Editor-in-Chief Kerri Hatt, is a finalist in the Online State of the Industry Report category. This annual report offers deep insights into the evolving priorities, challenges and aspirations of paramedics across the country, equipping EMS leaders with actionable strategies to improve provider well-being and patient care. Addressing issues ranging from workplace conditions to career development, the report serves as a critical resource for the EMS community.

Police1’s coverage of the International Association of Chiefs of Police 2024 annual conference, spearheaded by Senior Editor Sarah Calams, has been recognized in the Event Coverage category. The Police1 team delivered extensive, real-time coverage from the conference, providing law enforcement professionals with exclusive interviews, video content and expert analysis on pressing industry issues, emerging trends and innovative solutions shaping the future of policing.

With an average of 3 million page views per month and over 700k subscribers, Lexipol’s industry news sites—Police1, FireRescue1, EMS1 and Corrections1—have become the leading online news and information resource for public safety professionals and local government officials across the United States.

“Lexipol Media Group is committed to delivering high-quality journalism that helps public safety professionals make informed decisions, improve their agencies and better serve their communities,” said Lexipol Media Group President Rob Schneider. “These nominations reflect the dedication of our editorial team to providing meaningful, real-world insights that matter.”
