Chief Executive Officer
Chuck Corbin serves as Chief Executive Officer for Lexipol, overseeing all customer-facing and operational aspects of the business. Prior to being appointed CEO, he served for three years as Lexipol’s Chief Revenue Officer, contributing significantly to the company’s growth through his oversight of sales, marketing, market development, implementation services, customer support and account management.
Chuck’s entire career has been in the software technology and services industry, where he has served in leadership roles including senior vice president of North America at RMG Networks, senior vice president of Sales and Marketing at BancTec, general manager of U.S., Latin America and Asia Pacific at BancTec, vice president of Sales at Spectrum Contact Services and vice president and general manager at Siemens Business Services. Early in his career, Chuck held sales and sales management roles at Digital Equipment Corporation, a large computer and software manufacturer. Chuck began his career in sales at IBM.
A graduate of the University of Tulsa college of business, Chuck enjoys spending time with family, travel, sports and music. Chuck is also honored to serve as a mentor to several young professionals and small business owners.
Chief Financial Officer
As Lexipol’s CFO since 2012, Van’s passion for strategic growth has helped propel Lexipol into new products, services and markets, expanding our ability to serve clients. Van’s focus on geographic expansion, via its employee base and market growth, contributed to Lexipol’s evolution from a primarily western U.S. client base to a national market leader.
Van has spent over 30 years with high-growth technology companies in publicly held, private equity and venture-backed businesses. Prior to Lexipol, he served as CFO for Luxtera, Inc., recently acquired by Cisco. As CFO at Wyle Electronics, Van helped grow the business from $100M to $1.5B in revenues, leading to a successful sale of the company. He also served as CFO for Cherokee International and Telmar Network Technology, playing an instrumental role in executing strategic growth initiatives and acquisitions.
Van is a graduate of the UCLA Anderson School of Management executive program and enjoys golf and spending time with his family.
Chief Technology Officer
Dave Long leads Lexipol’s software development and technical services teams. His areas of leadership include the enterprise SaaS platform, driving innovation initiatives and ongoing improvement of business systems and infrastructure.
Dave has over 25 years of experience leading research and development teams. Most recently, Dave held the position of Chief Product Officer at FirstAware, developing an IoT SaaS platform for building safety. Previously, Dave held the position of VP of Engineering at Mutualink, developing SaaS communications and interoperability solutions for public safety. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President of Operations and Product Development at Taqua, VP of Engineering at Tekelec, and in leadership and software development positions at Lucent Technologies, Cadre Technologies and AT&T Bell Labs. He is an alumni of the Richardson (Texas) Citizen’s Fire Academy and the McKinney (Texas) Citizen’s Police Academy.
Dave brings a wealth of experience and expertise in software design and development methodologies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Kansas.
Chief Operating Officer
Tracey Hinkle serves as Lexipol’s chief operating officer, responsible for designing and implementing strategies to drive business growth and serve customer needs. Her operational oversight includes Lexipol’s Content and Legal teams as well as the company’s industry news sites.
With more than 25 years of experience in corporate and start-up innovation, enterprise consulting, design thinking methodologies, business development and go-to-market strategy, Tracey brings deep expertise in building partnerships and teams focused on solutions to address the most challenging issues facing business and society. She has a passionate focus on the customer and has held leadership positions for companies such as Ericsson, Cisco and Accenture, setting strategy, designing and leading operations, and building product development, portfolio management and innovation teams.
Tracey has been recognized by Simmons Leadership Council as a Top 100 Women in Tech and is a recipient of the Edison Gold Award for Disruptive Innovation. She has an MBA in Management and a BBA in Marketing from The University of Oklahoma. Tracey is married with two adult children and lives in Frisco, TX. In her free time, she enjoys sports, music, art, hiking and coaching girls’ basketball.
Founder & President, Cordico
As the founder and president of Cordico (now part of Lexipol), David Black, PhD, leads a team of professionals dedicated to providing customized, confidential, mobile wellness applications for individuals in high-stress professions. A clinical psychologist by training, Dr. Black was inspired by the heroic sacrifices of first responders on September 11, 2001, to explore how technology can transform behavioral health for as many first responders and their families as possible.
In addition to serving on Lexipol’s Board of Directors, Dr. Black serves as chief psychologist for the California Police Chiefs Association Wellness Committee and is a founding board member of the National Sheriffs’ Association Psychological Services Group, where he also serves as the Chair of Technology and Social Media. He is an Advisory Board member for the National Police Foundation’s Center for Mass Violence Response Studies, serves on the International Association of Chiefs of Police Psychological Services Ethics Committee and on the National Fraternal Order of Police Officer Wellness Committee and Provider Evaluation Subcommittee, and is an Officer Wellness subject matter expert for the California Commission on POST.
Dr. Black’s professional experience also includes hospitals, Fortune 100 companies and other organizations. He holds doctorate and master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Georgia and bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Washington.
Vice President, Human Resources
As Vice President of Human Resources for Lexipol, Kathryn Vines is responsible for recruitment, compensation and benefits, development, employee relations, and culture and engagement, as well as facilities.
Kathryn has more than two decades of human resources experience in the financial services industry, serving as chief people officer for Freedom Truck Finance, senior director of Human Resources at Texans Credit Union and vice president of Human Resources at Drive Financial Services (now Santander). Her passion is developing programs to best serve her teammates and creating a community for excellence in the workplace.
Kathryn holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Sociology from Southern Methodist University as well as the SHRM-CP and PHR certifications. She enjoys traveling with her family and is an active networker for HR and other professionals in the metroplex.
Chairman of the Board
Michael Davis serves as Chairman of the Board for Lexipol, a position he has held since 2019; he previously served five years as Lexipol’s chief executive officer. His extensive experience as a cloud technology pioneer and executive has helped drive Lexipol’s reach and ability to serve customers.
Michael’s career spans technology and technology leadership at the federal level as well as various tech executive roles at Honeywell, United Technologies, Sparton Corporation and an array of privately held, PE backed firms including Logic PD where he served as CEO prior to joining Lexipol as CEO. As an executive in PE backed firms, Michael has driven transformative growth across organizations, focusing on creating a culture of empowerment, improving organizational resiliency, and enhancing customer loyalty. Under his leadership, Lexipol continues to focus on helping public safety agencies and local government organizations serve their communities safely and effectively.
Michael holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University with post grad education in business and strategic management.
Gordon Graham is a 33-year law enforcement veteran, risk management expert, practicing attorney and public speaker. In 2002, along with Bruce Praet, Gordon founded Lexipol to standardize policy, procedure and training in public safety operations. He remains on the Lexipol Board of Directors following the company’s merger with Praetorian Digital in 2019.
During his time with the California Highway Patrol, Gordon served as a motorcycle officer and sergeant. He helped design the first DUI task force, assisted in the development of the drug recognition program, and introduced a revolutionary training program called SROVT: Solid, Realistic, Ongoing, Verifiable Training. He has also been an advocate for the fire service, helping to develop the websites FireFighterCloseCalls.com and FirefighterNearMiss.com.
Gordon has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Presidential Award for Excellence from the International Association of Fire Chiefs and the Lifetime Achievement Award from California POST. He holds a master’s degree in Safety and Systems Management from University of Southern California and a Juris Doctorate from Western State University.
Gordon lives in Southern California with his wife of more than 35 years, Reneé. Together, they enjoy “cruising the coast” in their vintage wooden boat or their weekender car. Gordon and “Mrs. G” are the proud parents of two adult children.
Bruce Praet is a partner with Ferguson, Praet & Sherman, a law firm that specializes in defending police civil matters such as shootings, dog bites and pursuits, while representing management in personnel matters. In 2002, along with Gordon Graham, Bruce founded Lexipol to standardize policy, procedure and training in public safety operations. He remains on the Lexipol Board of Directors following the company’s merger with Praetorian Digital in 2019
Bruce started his law enforcement career in 1973 as a police officer in Laguna Beach, California. In 1974, he moved to the Orange Police Department where he worked Patrol, Detectives, SWAT and K-9. After finishing law school, he went to work as an Assistant General Counsel to the Los Angeles Police Protective League and later served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Orange, exclusively handling police litigation.
Bruce has been heavily involved with POST committees and curriculum and is a guest speaker for numerous statewide police associations, the FBI Academy, the CHP Academy, and national peace officer associations.
Alex Ford is an accomplished entrepreneur, angel investor, public speaker and executive. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Lexipol in 2019 and 2020 following the merger of Lexipol and Praetorian Digital, which he founded in 1998.
Alex led the company to become the leading learning and content platform for first responders and local government leaders, driving 10+ years of profitability and more than 15% growth per year. Under his direction, Praetorian launched more than 30 websites, five online learning platforms and multiple workflow and data products that help municipalities better serve and protect our communities.
A graduate of Dartmouth College with a major in Economics and French, Alex lives in Dallas and spends time in San Francisco. He serves as an adviser for multiple start-ups and is a strong supporter of the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
Amar Patel is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Connectria, a leader in hybrid and cloud management. He serves on Lexipol’s Board of Directors, bringing a wealth of expertise in leading private equity-backed companies in growth, value creation, and mergers and acquisitions efforts.
Operating in sales and marketing leadership roles, Amar has a history of rapidly building and growing companies from mid-size to multi-billion-dollar market leaders. His technology and cloud experience includes positions with Dell, Rackspace and LiquidWeb, with a focus on go-to-market strategy, scalable revenue growth and organizational design.
Amar holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. A Dallas native, he currently lives in St. Louis with his wife, two children and two dogs.
Senior Advisor – Fire
A nationally recognized advocate for firefighter safety and survival, Billy Goldfeder has been a firefighter since 1973 and a chief officer since 1982. He became involved with Lexipol in 2006, championing the development of a Fire Policies and Training solution to complement the company’s law enforcement offering.
Currently serving as deputy fire chief of the Loveland-Symmes (Ohio) Fire Department, Billy is a board member for the International Association of Fire Chiefs, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the September 11th Families Association. His passion for firefighter safety and survival is reflected in regular contributions to national fire service media, frequent presentations at fire service conferences, and his email newsletter, “The Secret List,” which reaches hundreds of thousands of firefighters. With Lexipol co-founder Gordon Graham, he founded and hosts the website FireFighterCloseCalls.com. Billy has received the Tom Brennan Lifetime Achievement Award, Firefighter Cancer Support Network Dallas Jones Memorial Award, and the International Society of Fire Service Instructors Fire Instructor of the Year Award. He was also named an Honorary Battalion Chief of FDNY.
