Lexipol co-founder Gordon Graham recently received two lifetime achievement awards, the first awarded by the California Highway Patrol and the second by the Peace Officers Association of Los Angeles County (POALAC). These recognitions represent the impact of Graham’s work over the course of his career, specifically in shaping the way law enforcement agencies approach policy training with daily learning and a risk management focus.
“I am extremely honored and humbled by these recent recognitions,” Graham said. “I have been passionate about improving safety and professionalism in law enforcement throughout my career and to see I have made an impact is a reward in itself.”
At the 2022 All Commanders’ Training session on Sept. 29, 2022, Graham received special recognition for his career with and work for the California Highway Patrol. The recognition honored his “noble and worthy career serving others,” highlighting 50 years of dedicated service and leadership.
Graham was also awarded the POALAC President’s Award on Oct. 25, 2022, at POALAC’s Centurion Awards for Excellence for his outstanding work as a public safety innovator, trainer and educator. The award highlighted Graham’s POALAC seminars, among other educational efforts, as well as the impact he has had on a greater scale in law enforcement training over the course of his career.
Graham’s extensive career in public safety spans decades with the California Highway Patrol, as an attorney, and as a leader and educator, culminating in the founding of Lexipol. His work has impacted the way law enforcement agencies across the country create and train on public safety policies.
