Lexipol Wins 2019 Eddie Award for Excellence in Journalism

Lexipol, the leading content, policy and training platform for public safety and local government, today announced its digital community PoliceOne was named a winner at the 2019 Folio: Eddie & Ozzie Awards. The largest and most inclusive awards program in the publishing community, the Eddie & Ozzie Awards are a benchmark for excellence in editorial and design across all sectors of the publishing industry.

The PoliceOne digital edition “Officer Safety on the Road” was named the winner in the Best App/Digital Edition (B2B) category. PoliceOne also received an honorable mention in the Single Article (B2B, Government/Law) category for “The cop who refused to die,” written by Cole Zercoe, Senior Associate Editor. The “Inside EMS” podcast, hosted by Chris Cebollero and Kelly Grayson, was also given an honorable mention in the Podcast (B2B) category.

Lexipol, which merged with Praetorian Digital earlier this year, has been presented 14 Eddie awards since 2013, including Best Online Community, Best Commentary/Blog and Best Standalone Digital Magazine.

“It is an honor to be recognized among such notable companies at the Eddie Awards,” said Jon Hughes, vice president of digital media communities for Lexipol. “The awards are an acknowledgment of the collective effort of our talented editorial team in providing award-caliber content to our audience of first responders.”

With an average of 12 million unique content views per month and over 2 million registered members, Lexipol’s digital communities have become the leading online news and information resource for first responders and local government officials across the United States.
