Lexipol, the leading content, policy and training platform for public safety and local government, today announced it has been named a finalist in three categories for the 2019 Folio: Eddie & Ozzie Awards. The largest and most inclusive awards program in the publishing community, the Eddie & Ozzie Awards are a benchmark for excellence in editorial and design across all sectors of the publishing industry.
Lexipol digital communities PoliceOne and EMS1 were named finalists in three Eddie award categories:
- Best App/Digital Edition (B2B): PoliceOne, Officer Safety on the Road
- Podcast (B2B): EMS1, Inside EMS
- Single Article (B2B, Government/Law): PoliceOne, “The cop who refused to die” by Cole Zercoe, Senior Associate Editor
Lexipol, which merged with Praetorian Digital earlier this year, has won 14 Eddie awards since 2013, including Best Online Community, Best Commentary/Blog and Best Standalone Digital Magazine.
“We are honored to be nominated for three Eddie Awards. Each of our nominations is representative of the editorial quality we strive for,” said Jon Hughes, vice president of digital media communities for Lexipol. “While these nominations recognize PoliceOne and EMS1 by name, they also recognize our team’s commitment to providing outstanding editorial content on all of our websites to our audience of first responders.”
With an average of 14 million page views per month and over 2 million registered members, Lexipol’s digital communities have become the leading online news and information resource for first responders and local government officials across the United States.
The winners will be announced October 30 at the annual Folio: Awards Gala in New York City. The complete list of finalists can be found here.
